What does a typical day look like for you as a Curva Brand Ambassador?
A typical day for me is just simple self-care in the morning (which is very important) —like eating a good breakfast, and setting the mood by playing light songs, so that when I start working, I have the energy and motivation. The important part is that I will make sure that everything I do is for good, and will benefit not only me but also others.

How has your relationship with your body changed since joining Curva?
In reality, embracing and loving your body isn’t as easy as what others may think. But when I started joining Curva, seeing how the brand really supports different body types, showing people how beautiful everyone is, I’m always getting reminded to be easy on my body, and slowly accept and embrace what I have. And what’s beautiful is, I unconsciously share and do it to other people too.

What’s your favorite way to style Curva shapewear for a day out?
Basics are always the top tier for me. Curva shapewear + pants, chunky shoes, hoop earrings, sun glasses, a mini bag, and some necklace and bracelet, PERFECT! 
I really love how it hugs my body while it’s very comfortable too!

What’s your perspective on the evolution of body positivity in the fashion industry?
As someone who always struggles in finding my perfect size, (if not too loose, it’s tight) A midsize girl like me is super thankful that we can somehow find our perfect size. We are not that restricted anymore in wearing what we think and feel we’re beautiful and stunning. 

I now feel that I can be more experimental in the outfits that I want to wear, not restricting myself to just one design, and I can flaunt my curves and skin in different ways.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your journey as a body positivity advocate?
Honestly, sometimes, even though I tell people to love themselves fully, I still (sometimes) have these insecurities. Especially in the media industry where everyone and most are flawless, a nice body shape, and fair skin. 
But of course, I’ve learned that It’s very important to walk the talk. I can’t tell other people to love themselves if they can’t see it from me.

How do you stay authentic while promoting body positivity and shapewear on social media?
Hard selling is the greatest no-no when it comes to promoting body positivity and products. 
I will Promote body positivity by emphasizing self-love and acceptance, (even though it’s the hardest part.) and I will highlight the versatility of shapewear rather than promoting unrealistic beauty standards.
Consumers and viewers are wiser now. They can really sense that you’re just doing the promotion just because you’re paid for it. And as a consumer too, I know the feeling of getting scammed just because the influencer wants to earn money. And I don’t want others to feel it too.

So I always share my experience, relate it to me, and always tell nicely what I want and don’t want from the product. After all, it’s all for our confidence, and convenience that we want to purchase the product.

As I’ve said, It’s really not that fast and easy. That even me, I’m still struggling sometimes. But the most important step is that you surround yourself with positive influences. Not for validation, but positive support has a really big impact in this journey because those people will not restrict you,  but give support and comfort to you.
You can also engage in activities that will make you feel good and confident. Experiment with things, and Be strong, because that’s the reality. It’s not easy, but you can do it.
I will repeat, that it’s not easy and fast, but slow learning is a sure learning.
