As a member of the Curva Crew, how do you embody the brand’s values in your daily life?Â
Growing up, I’ve been struggling with changes in my body, thinking I am different and ugly. Curva’s value is an eye-opener for me because all shapes and sizes are built to be beautiful. It may not be the same for the others, but it is all seen as unique and the same. I realized that I am worthy and amazing.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned since joining the Curva Crew?
The most surprising thing I have learned since joining the Curva Crew is that even as an ordinary person, I can inspire others just by showing the real me and sharing my experience and confidence in wearing something that emphasizes the curves of my body.
How do you stay motivated and inspired as a Curva Brand Ambassador?
I stay motivated and inspired as a Curva Ambassador by seeing my fellow women who have experienced the same experience as me. They are the ones that encourage me to be confident.
How do you integrate Curva’s values into your personal branding?
I integrate Curva’s values into my personal branding by reminding myself that I am worthy and beautiful each day.
How do you think Curva supports mental well-being through its products and community?
Curva indeed supports mental well-being because the shapewear itself is already a tool to let women know that we can be sexy and beautiful regardless of our shapes and sizes. I love that Curva is a campaign to help everyone be open.
How has your perception of beauty and body confidence evolved since joining the Curva Crew?
As a 24-year-old plus-sized single woman, I grew up thinking that I was not the type of person that someone would find attractive. I do have a lot of insecurities, such as having a big belly, big thighs, double chin, acne, dark inner thighs, dark underarms, etc. After joining the Curva Crew and seeing my other fellow Curva Ambassadors show off their insecurities to the world, I thought to myself, why would I feel this way when others can embrace their insecurities and be proud of having them? Joining Curva Crew gave me hope and inspiration that, regardless of any insecurities that we face, we are all beautiful in our own ways. And that is what keeps me going.
What’s your message to women who are hesitant to try shapewear?
Shapewear is created to emphasize and flaunt every curve in our bodies. What I like about shapewear is that it is not made only for small-sized women but also for plus-size women like me. It will not just make our tummy smaller or lift our buttocks, but it is built for women to be comfortable, to be confident, to be proud of their bodies.
What’s one body positivity mantra you live by?Â
I am worthy and my body is perfect the way that it is.
